Biography

COTTONMOUTH aka Olly Edgecombe is a mid 20’s dubstep producer that lives in the heart of the England’s South West countryside in a small picture postcard village known as Cheddar just outside of Bristol. When he is not climbing the gorge and eating the finest of Cheddar Cheese he is sat at his computer producing savage basslines and meticulous drum beats.

He started when he was 14 producing dnb at school on a computer which was so crap, by the time he reached 18 he was sick of the site of it, penniless and living in the country with no internet. The only people who could enjoy his music were friends and the cows in the field outside his window.

With that, in November of 2009, 6 years later he decided to get a laptop and start all over again with new ideas after listening to many different styles and genres of music during this break such as electro/balkan/techno/breakbeat/jazz and of course dubstep.

Since then Cottonmouth has started to become a known name across the globe with remixes and original songs being played by the likes of Kissy Sellout on Radio 1 and playlisted numerous times on Bobby Frictions show on the BBC Asia Network. He has also become a soundcloud favourite hitting the top of the charts on many occasions and featuring on a vast number of blogs across the net.

COTTONMOUTH has come a long way in the last 9 months and you can be expecting a lot more from this venomous producer in the forthcoming years so stay tuned !!!
