Biography

Hailing from the southern point of Africa, rhythm has had a big influence in his life.

From reggae and old school rock through to the tribal beat of the African culture have formed and cemented the love of rhythm and bass. He began fooling around with electronic music in the form of trance and bit of hip-hop in 05. He went to study sound engineering at college and by 2008 was putting every bit of time he had into music production. Whether it be from dub to trance, to ambient to trip-hop, he has never been afraid to experiment with different styles.

Then in the beginning of 2009 he met the sound of dubstep and this was to change everything … the amalgamation of so many styles of sound and the obvious skanking beat and sub bass was what drew him to it like a bug to a big bright light ! Melodik has never looked back from this point onwards and remains a soldier of sub heavy music …
